Game of the Week
Chess is 99% taking pieces!
Welcome back to game of the week! As always, these are the ground rules:
Game of the Week is not a brilliancy prize. In fact, you’re more likely to have your game chosen if you share a loss. These often have more to teach us than our wins.
The player whose game is selected for Game of the Week will get a free month’s paid subscription. Just to sweeten the pot a little.
I will only consider submissions in the comments section of this post for Game of the Week. It’s just easier for me to have them all in one place.
As always, the video and Lichess Study analysis are available for everyone, but only paid subs can submit games.
This week’s game comes from Nathan Glissmeyer. This game really highlights the importance of scanning for any hanging pieces every move, as well as avoiding FPS (Fancy Play Syndrome).
On with the game!
