Last week, I had Grandmaster Jacob Aagaard on the live stream to discuss the topic “Do tactics…but how?!”
GM Aagaard has trained top players like Boris Gelfand, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, and many others. He’s the guy grandmasters go to when they want to make the leap from “normal” GM to elite, or elite to World Championship contender.
At the same time, he’s got great insights for ordinary club players as well. In our conversation he described how he helped an LA guitar player with little time for chess make tremendous progress using a simple tactics routine.
